Hi, Long story short- in 2011, I graduate from UW with a business/IT degree and in 2013, I received my MBA at WWU. But, I decided not to go the corporate route just yet. At the time, being 23 with an MBA- I really didn't have much free-time to myself as I was only focused on my education and potential business career. So, I decided to look into what my passions were (and they still are)- children, family and travel. Therefore, for the past 5 years- I have been mainly babysitting and nannying to help fund for my world travels. During those years, I've helped well over three dozen families- caring for over 60+ children of all ages. I have enjoyed and loved every moment of it. I've learned a great deal from each family and each child. I also have over 8 years of childcare experience prior to those 4 ½ years- primarily in daycare settings. I've found many families that I will always keep in touch with- some of which I still help out whenever needed. It's been a blessing to see all the children grow up. So, when I first started traveling- I would go for 4 to 6 months at a time. I've been all over Southeast Asia, Central & South America, Europe and Lebanon. But as I'm getting older and have my heart invested in families- I've slowed down on my travels because to be honest, kids are more important. :) I now mainly do short-trips (mostly when families are on vacation/ there's a large gap in my schedule). And I'm starting to have an interest in small trips around the US. Unfortunately, the family that I’ve been with for over 6 years no longer need my help as the boys are old enough to take care of themselves. Therefore, I am looking for a full-time position with a great family. :) I could also do part-time if needed. Thanks for the consideration! Please feel free to message me for any questions you may have or answers I could provide. **COVID VACCINATED & BOOSTED (since 11/02/2021)**

I am a 27 years old, I am fluent in English and Spanish. After spending the past year helping care for my nephew during his first year of life, as well as providing ongoing childcare for my best friend’s children, I’ve decided to take a break from my current position to pursue work more closely aligned with childcare. I am seeking an opportunity with a family that values strong connection, trust, and professionalism in the care and development of their children. I have 2 small dogs, I’m great with almost any pets :)

Hi there! My name is Margie and I've just moved to Bellingham. I have over eight years of childcare experience and excited to have more! For six years I was the lead counselor on a community farm in Portland, OR, for ages 5 to 12. We would play games in the garden, put on puppet shows, learn about wildlife, all while staying safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. I also enjoyed being a teacher for cooking classes where we'd cook yummy, kid-friendly meals with ingredients the kids harvested. I recently worked with the Corvallis Environmental Center and local elementary schools with farm and ecology based curriculum. If you couldn't tell, I am very passionate about our planet and love teaching little ones the importance of care and kindness for it. On top of that, I'm known to be bubbly, patient, observant, and understand the craziness kids can bring to our lives. I am Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified, have a car, and am great at cooking and keeping spaces tidy. I love taking children on nature walks, craft making, and telling stories. I have the most experience with kids ages 5 to 13, but have plenty of babysitting experience with ages 6 months- 4 year olds. Excited to help out your family! -Margie

I offer a small, play-based childcare environment focused on helping children grow with confidence, independence, and creativity. My approach is inspired by child-led learning, with plenty of hands-on activities, outdoor play, and opportunities for social development in a calm, home setting. I keep my group intentionally small so each child gets plenty of attention and care. We enjoy daily outdoor time, a safe and engaging space designed just for little ones, and a routine that supports both learning and fun. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I prioritize safety, communication, and a nurturing atmosphere where kids feel comfortable and supported. My rate is $10 per child, per hour, with flexible hours and days to fit your family’s needs. Alcohol and Smoke free home 2 Hypoallergenic dogs kept away from children

I love working with children, and this is reflected by my work history. I spent last summer working at two different summer camps and managed groups of 15-30 elementary-aged children (ages 5-11) at a time. I have also worked in three different classes as a student teacher, working with 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grade students. In the fall, I will be going to college to study psychology to become a child-psychologist. From my experience, I have learned that it is of the upmost importance that children have access to supportive, understanding adults, and I know that my education and experience has prepared me to be that for your children.

I’m a caring and dependable sitter with a genuine love for working with children. There’s something incredibly special about watching kids discover new things, grow into their personalities, and light up with excitement. Being part of those moments is what makes this work so meaningful to me. I’m currently in between jobs, which gives me the flexibility and enthusiasm to support families who need an extra set of hands. I have several years of experience caring for children of different ages, from infants to school-aged kids. This experience has been acquired through raising my own kids. I can help with meals, bedtime routines, homework support, creative play, and keeping little ones engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities. I’m patient, calm under pressure, and naturally connect with kids of all temperaments. I’m also CPR and First Aid certified, skilled in maintaining safe and structured routines, and comfortable with diaper changes, bottle preparation, and helping with sleep habits. I always prioritize open communication with parents and aim to create a warm, respectful environment where kids feel supported and understood. If you’re looking for a reliable sitter who will care for your children with kindness and genuine attentiveness, I’d love to connect and learn more about your family’s needs!

Hello! My name is Lauren, I am 20, and I’m currently in school to become a pediatric dental hygienist. I also work part time as an in-home caregiver for elderly people. I have a lot of experience taking care of people, young and old, and really love it! I have many years of experience taking care of kids ranging in ages from 9 months to 10 years. I have experience with diaper changing, potty training, meal preparation, feeding, bed time, organizing games and activities, and many more useful skills that I feel very confident in! I am extremely organized, reliable, attentive, and fun! Through high school I also worked as a before/after school child care provider. This gave me great experience juggling multiple tasks at once while also ensuring the safety of the kids. I really enjoy being a babysitter because it provides parents with some time to take care of themselves while making sure the kiddos are safe and having fun. I have been trained in First aid/CPR/AED for infants, children, and adults.
