I have two children whom have grown and no longer need all of my attention and a husband who works 2nd shift. I am a preschool teacher and have been for 20 years. I love teaching, crafts, and playing outside. I do babysit children from my center where I work. I have a teaching degree and hold a valid CPR card. I became a teacher/caregiver because I love teaching, listening, and being patient with children. Children need lots of attention, whether doing homework or just having fun I am easy going but consistent with what I do. With my son off to college and my daughter finishing high school soon, I find myself needing to keep busy in the evenings and on the weekends.

School Counselor seeking occasional babysitting positions (weeknights and weekends) I have over 20 years of babysitting experience for children of all ages, from being a nanny for 4 children in New York City (ages 2 to 8), working as the site supervisor of an after school program, completion of my Master's degree in School Counseling which included 600 hours interning with students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade, and one full year as a middle/high school counselor. I have my bachelor's degree in English from UW- Madison and master's in Counselor Education from UW-Whitewater. I have been re-certified in adult and child CPR in 2016. I take a very creative approach to working with children; I feel that finding one's personality and letting it shine through in all aspects of life is something that is essential for kids to learn, so I believe that it is a babysitter's job to be able to be flexible, creative, and fun at all times--while keeping reasonable boundaries as well. I love spending time talking with children about what's going on in their lives, and being able to be supportive of their interests.

I have an educational background in creative writing, business management and am currently studying to be an ultrasound tech. I have 4 years of childcare experience through this platform and Care.com (years 2018-2022). I then moved on to retail management, but have dropped my hours to be enrolled in school. I loved nannying while getting my first degree and am ready to get back into it! I have experience with children ages 2-12 years old. I have learned morning, afterschool, and bed time routines. I have helped with school work and ensuring chores get done, as well as encouraging developmental skills. I have experience with diaper changing and potty training. I enjoy reading or being read to, as well as arts and crafts. I enjoy coloring, pottery or play-doh figures, building forts, and a new interest in LEGOs. I love movie nights, board games, walks around the neighborhood. Ive taken kids to libraries, museums, parks, walks on trails, swim lessons, piano lessons, and trampoline parks. I’ve been able to have a lot of fun with the kids I’ve watched in the past and experience really cool moments in their lives.

I am 31 years old and currently living in Bay View. I have over 15 years of experience working with children of all ages, including two years at an accredited daycare as an infant room teacher. I have a reliable vehicle with insurance and am CPR and First Aid certified. I am available nights and weekends.
