I worked in a group home for 1 year taking care of 4 fully dependent adults. I did daily house cleaning tasks, bathing/toileting, medication administration, cooked meals daily and came up with fun tasks to keep them entertained.

I have always had a passion working with kids. I feel that each child has so much to offer. worked in two different daycares and an academy. I have nannied for many different families children infant-teen agers. I recently nannied for a family with 8 month old twins.

I grew up taking care of my three younger siblings. I do not have any professional experience with babysitting, however, I've helped watch many cousins and nieces/nephews. I think of myself as stern and orderly, as children need that guidance from adults. But I try not to stifle creativity and curiosity. I believe that each child has their own needs. One may always need to be active while another just needs the comfort of knowing you are there, if they need you. I prefer to see what each child needs and then go from there.

Why do you love being a sitter? I’ve always loved being around kids and helping take care of them. Being a sitter allows me to support families while creating a safe, fun, and caring environment for children. I also hope to pursue pediatrics as my nursing specialty so working with kids is something I truly enjoy and feel passionate about! I recently downloaded the app once more and would love to make this as my full time job while studying for nclex! What experience do you have? While I only have 1 year paid babysitting experience, I’ve babysat children for family and friends since I was young. More recently, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which has given me hands on experience caring for children and families in clinical settings. I’m currently studying for my NCLEX, and my schedule is flexible so I can help with last minute needs or appointments. What skills and training do you have? I’m BLS certified and trained in basic life saving skills. My nursing education has helped me develop strong safety awareness, communication skills, and patience.
