Hi, my name is Alison! I love working with kids and have a lot of experience doing so. I have babysat for my little cousins ever since I was 7 years old, I have worked at the boys and girls clubs, and have babysat/nannied for a few other families as well, starting a few years back. The most recent family I worked for was the Boeing family. There, I nannied 3 kids ages 2, 4, and 6 each day. I helped with meals, bedtime routines, changing diapers, household chores, practicing speech therapy with the 4-year-old, and most importantly, keeping the kids safely active and entertained. I am always very hands-on and engaged with the kids, playing whatever games they want to play such as hide and seek, tag, water balloon fights crazy horse, make-believe, etc. The eldest child has some behavioral issues, and because of that, I have a lot of hands-on experience de-escalating situations and helping kids regulate and understand their emotions. I love playing both indoors and outdoors, whether it's active or relaxing. I am willing to drive kids to any activities they may have, do housework and cleaning, cook meals, and complete any other tasks as the need arises. I am available to start the week of May 6th. Hello! I have done daycare, in-home daycare, and nannying for about 23 years. I absolutely love children and watching the transformation as they grow up. I am certified in SIDS, CPR, First Aid, and quite a few childcare classes. I do a schedule: breakfast, group time (calendar, shapes, colors, etc) art, large muscle/outside, lunch, nap, and snack. For infants i change their diapers every 1hr, 2-3 naps (times vary) and they go outside too with the other children. I have a daughter in 9th grade and a son 15months old. I was wondering if you would consider bringing your child/ren to my house? I have an area just for the children to learn/play, fenced in yard, and a wonderful family neighborhood that I live in. I came to US from Poland at the age of 17. During my couple of years at college, I worked as a teacher's assistant in the photo department and at their summer photography program for high school students. During my 20's I worked at O'Hare airport providing services for unaccompanied minors. I also briefly worked for a Christian school as a 1st grade teacher's assistant and as a teacher for a daycare in a classroom of 10 toddlers. In 2000, I began working as a nanny. I had the opportunity to work with many different age groups ranging from infant to school-age children. Including a special needs infant, who had 3 different therapists come on my watch. My last job was taking care of a smart and spirited 9-year-old girl, after she got home from school, and full-time every summer for over 3 years. Depending on age groups and interests, I have done the following and would be happy to include these activities to a day of work. Free play time with toys or activities of choice. Playing outdoor sports or accompany the children on bicycle rides, rollerblading or going to a playground. Host play dates. Go to a zoo, arboretum, conservatory, museums of choice, aquarium or planetarium. I would also take children to a pool or a beach. Accompany children to gymnastics, dance, music or art classes. Enjoy reading books together at home or the library, assist with homework. On the private side of life, I am married with no children and enjoy camping, taking walks in the forest preserve. I have worked as a lead infant room teacher for 9 years i love children and can give reference of parents i have taken care of their children in the past. I am a level 10 and currently going to school for my associates in early child development. I began Babysitting at the age of 13 and found I enjoyed working with kids. The next summer I volunteered with Miracle League of the Fox Valley, which is a program where people help kids with disabilities ball baseball and I continued with the program for 5 years. My senior year of high school I got the opportunity to intern for the year in a classroom and work as a teachers aid. Shortly after graduation I got the job I currently have with Caravel Autism Health my title is Behavior Technician 1, I've been with the company for a year now.
