Hello, our son is our first and only child. He is 4 years old. He is energetic and super goofy. He was diagnosed with autism two years ago but we do not let that define him. He moves around just fine. He is nonverbal but has ways of communicating such as hand gestures or taking us to what he wants. He also uses a communication device that will say what he needs. We would like someone with experience and patience with special needs kids. He is now in pre-k so he is accustomed to being around others. He attends pre-k Monday - Friday. We need someone that can offer assistance sometimes during the weekdays and on some weekends. We really would like someone we can build a great relationship with. We are in the process of potty training so we would like someone that can assist with that. He is still in pull ups so the person must be willing to change him and help feed him as he can not self feed for 100% of meals. Looking for someone with direct experience with special needs younger kids.
