Hello! We are a UC family (Berkeley and UCSF) seeking an occasional date night and after school/school closure babysitter on an as-needed basis for our 4 year old. Ideally someone who will be in the area for a year or two. We have been fortunate to get to know a number of lovely Cal babysitters who are now graduating! We hope to meet 1-2 new babysitters in the area who are energetic, not screen focused, and within easy transit to North Oakland (near Bushrod park) for occasional evenings out and work-related needs. Experience with preschool aged children.
We prefer the evenings with babysitters to be fun - we often have popsicles, take out, lots of play time. Our son is used to caregivers but does best when he has an opportunity to get to know someone. We have had great success with college-aged sitters so if you're a UC Berkeley student looking for an occasional gig, this could be great!
