We are seeking a reliable and caring part-time nanny to provide childcare for our infant on Tuesdays and Thursdays in our home in Urbandale, IA from 8:00-5:30pm. Additional hours may be available on an occasional basis, with advance notice. Start date end of May/early June.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide attentive and loving care to our infant, including feeding, diaper changing and soothing.
2. Engage in developmentally appropriate activities to stimulate the baby's growth and learning (e.g. reading, tummy time, outdoor walks).
3. Maintain a clean and safe environment for the baby, including regular sanitation of toys and equipment.
4. Follow any specific feeding/nap schedules and house rules provided by the parents.
5. Adhere to any special instructions or preferences provided by the parents regarding childcare routines and practices, including maintaining care logs regarding feeding times, etc. by request.
6. Follow any special instructions or guidelines provided by the parents regarding discipline, screen time, etc.
7. Communicate openly and regularly with parents about the baby's activities, milestones and any concerns.
8. Monitor the baby's health and well-being, and promptly report any issues or changes to the parents.
9. Assist with light housekeeping tasks during nap times such as tidying up play areas and nursery; emptying/loading dishwasher; cleaning bottles/feeding supplies and organizing child’s toys or belongings.

Qualifications:
1. Previous experience caring for infants, either as a nanny, babysitter, or in a daycare setting.
2. CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon request).
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
5. Trustworthy.
6. Reliable transportation.
7. Non-smoker.
8. Clean background check and references.
