We have two boys. Our oldest is soon to be 10yrs old in June and the youngest is 8. They are both on the autism spectrum and in special education. People Inc registered staff preferred. Knowledge of working with kids on the spectrum is preferred. They are great kids who are funny, kind and super smart. They get along well but also need their time apart to enjoy individual interests. Like, science, arts and crafts, time outside and with our pets. We have a three legged pit bull, cat, and fish.
Help the boys settle after school and maybe grab a snack. Only about 5-10 min of homework for our oldest. Then free time can be to play or engage in games. Dinner is closer to 5p and easy options like PB&J or frozen pizza are often on the menu.
We are in West Seneca and boys are home by 4p. Occasional driving to nearby activities also requested. Or short outing during summer, such as botanical garden.
