We live in West Nyack NY and are looking for a regular caregiver for our daughter. Her condition causes developmental delays. She receives OT, PT, & speech therapies. She has underdeveloped upper body muscles which affects her ability to speak clearly. She is extremely sociable & active & very happy the majority of the time. She loves meeting people & doing activities. She is also easily distractable & constantly requires redirecting on tasks.
We are looking for a community habilitation (comm hab) staff person to take our 8 y. o. girl with rare genetic into the community so you will need a car. She prefers a young, female caregiver who can keep up with her energy.
We can pay up to $30/hour once someone has gone through the paid comm hab training. We can also pay your milage and some other expenses when you are with her. For now, we can offer about 8-10 hours/week and you would need to be available at 3:45 to meet her bus two days/week and on Saturdays.
