We live on a small farm. The kids are very selfsufficient but close enough in age they needed a older, wiser referee to ensure things stay calm and happy. We do not need care for the animals, only the kids. We have 1 dog in the house who is kennel trained, but mainly just sleeps on his bed and asks to be let out occasionally. He is a great dane and very friendly and well behaved.(11, 10, 8 and 6)
We are going to a wedding out of town, so we need to stay overnight. The kids will need supervised to make dinner. The oldest 2 (11 and 10) can cook pizza, Mac and cheese, eggs, sandwiches, and such, but we worry about them using the stove when we aren't home. They don't require games or crafts, but do enjoy Uno and board games. They play well on their own, but get into sibling squabbles that can require a mature person to help them calm down. They do great with bed time.
We live near pleasant view Baptist church and will be about 2 hours away for the wedding.
