My name is Christopher, I am a single father and I have 1 daughter who is 6.5 years old. I am the primary parent to my daughter. I have an older daughter that is 20 years old and she may come over occasionally to see her little sister. We have two dogs, Zelda (the baby/princess) of the family. Zelda is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois and it would be best to have a few introductionary visits. Our other pup is "Big Lou" and he is huge but he is the absolute sweetest dog and he loves everybody.
I need somebody to watch my daughter while I'm at work every other week. She is good at getting herself snacks but she doesn't cook. She is super chill and a homebody. However, I would like for her to be a little more active during the day. I would love it for somebody to engage with and play with her. She just learned to ride her bike without training wheels and I live right next to the bike path. Additionally, I do have an indoor swimming pool and she does know how to swim. (I'm new to this)
My away from home job is a normal 8-5 schedule. There is some flexibility but I work in Hermiston so I do have a little bit of a commute. I really think that we would need a few visits to get my daughter and Zelda comfortable. Is that standard? I have never had to hire a sitter before and I'm a little nervous/anxious about the process. I know the pay isn't the best but I am really hoping that I will be able to pay more in a couple months.
