Hi! My name is Madi Canamare, and I love working with kids because of their creativity, energy, and unique personalities. As one of five siblings, with three younger than me, I’ve been helping care for children for as long as I can remember. I am CPR and First Aid certified through my work back at home (Charlotte, NC) at a daycare, where I have been caring for children from my sophomore year of high school to the present. Along with daycare, I have also worked at summer camps every year since sophomore year, gaining experience with kids of all ages while planning activities, leading games and crafts, and creating a safe, positive environment. In addition, I have several years of babysitting experience and volunteered as a reading tutor in high school, helping children build confidence and skills one-on-one. I'm a 25 year old postgraduate student currently working as a Personal Trainer. I grew up with four (!) siblings, and spent lots of time caring for them, and have ~2 years of paid childcare experience working at summer camp and as a babysitter. I'm certified in child & adult CPR/AED and First Aid through the American Red Cross, and did in-person training most recently in April 2025. I'm a highly organized person and love to clean, cook, and do general chores! My favorite thing to have my kids do is craft; with stickers, yarn, paper, etc. (nothing too messy!). I put effort to avoid the use of screens/technology because that's how I was raised, and I believe it helped me have a good attention span and learn from my surroundings. I was also a student of a Montessori school growing up and carry those values into my childcare today. I am an avid exerciser and am strong, which allows me to do chores/ heavy lifting and work with bigger kids with ease. I drive a 2020 Subaru, and currently commute 500+ miles per week to Birmingham, so I'm very comfortable driving. I'm open to part time or full time work!
