My name is Shannyn Jones. I am 50 yrs old. I previously worked in the medical field . I was babysitting part-time, evenings & weekends while working full-time days. I left my daytime office position & decided to do something that I found more rewarding:) My mother provided childcare in our home when I was in elementary school. I started babysitting in the nursery @ church when I was in high school & have babysat on & off since then. I have experience with all ages especially infants and toddlers . I am trained in child and infant CPR and first aid. I have a recent tdap vaccination and up to date on covid and flu. I have 10 nieces & nephews but I do not have any children of my own. I was married in April of 2012.  That March I left my office job & started working as a nanny part-time. Since that time I have had the fortune of helping many families. Some on a regular basis & some for nights out, picking up kids from school & taking to activities & SAHM's that need a break or have errands. Currently I am working as a part-time sitter/nanny for a 15m old and 3yr old. I have been with them for almost 3 yrs. My husband & I relocated to Pensacola April 2014 from the DC/VA area. I worked at an animal rescue and shelter, and i volunteer and local rescues. I am also on Rover and pet sit for friends and neighbors as well. I have watched pets and house sat for many of my babysitting families:-) If you would like we can get together for a "meet & greet". I can meet you & the children & find out about any needs you may have & the children will have a chance to get to know me before being left alone. Hello all. I have been a homeschool mom, Preschool Director, Elementary School Teacher, Exceptional Student Educator. I have chosen to leave the classroom setting for a more calming environment. I have collected up many materials, puppets & activities to do with children. I enjoy arts and craft projects & reading with those in my care. With a previous family situation, their little one & I have built a fort out in their backyard, grown a garden, created artworks on display in their home, played endless amounts of educational board games. We’ve baked many mud pies! Just prior to relocating to Pensacola, I was a Nanny for three families, each position part time. I am interested in finding occasional positions for ‘date night’ parents. I will be available Friday and Saturday evenings for residents and touristing adults to have a few hours ‘off’ while visiting our lovely city. Would consider a weeknight, if feasible.) My experience with babysitting stretches over 12 years. I worked 6 consecutive years as a nanny for a family whose children I cared for from the newborn stages to ages 6, 3, and 1. I cherish the bond I created with this family and their beautiful kiddos, but I left this position due to relocation. The children I cared for were always very busy, so I have developed attentiveness and patience for tiny humans. I’m Sydney! I’m 23 years old and the youngest of 2 but have a huge family. I’ve been babysitting my youngest cousins since they were born, I’ve loved watching them grow over the years, and seeing how their little personality’s developed.
