Throughout my years tutoring at school and working in training positions in the food industry, I've found a passion for guiding someone through the process of learning. I first found this passion when I was in school myself. Academics have always come easily to me, and I found great joy in helping my friends understand an assignment when even the teacher couldn't find a way to explain it to them. I've recently realized that nothing would make me happier than to be able to help a child discover a passion for learning in a way that suits their individual needs. I believe that there is always more than one way to approach learning, and that the child should lead the way. I believe in asking questions to engage the student, and I believe my job as the tutor is not to give them the answer but to give them the tools to find it for themselves. That being said, I also have many years of babysitting experience. I think the best way to approach babysitting is to adapt to the needs of the child, and to listen carefully to what the parents are saying. I'm comfortable with making snacks and dinner, I'm always down to play games, and I like to get children outside to play as much as the weather allows.
