I am a high school graduate with 5+ years of childcare and 2+ years of early childhood education from watching younger neighborhood kids in middle school to being an assistant preschool teacher and outdoor educator. I absolutely adore working with infants and young children, and have extensive knowledge of childhood development. I have been working at an outdoors based homeschool and after school program for the last 6 months and love every minute of it but with a recent move to Solano County I'm looking for more home based childcare jobs. I have open availability after 9am on weekdays, and any time on weekends. I have worked with ages 0-14 and have experience working with children who have learning disabilities, special needs, and/or behavioral needs (including children with heavy trauma who need extra compassion and understanding). I have also worked under Waldorf teaching curriculum, which can be closely related to Montessori style teaching for those who are not familiar. I have come to use many aspects of these curriculums in my personal care for children outside of my teaching positions.
