I am a mother of a 15 month old and 4 grown children that are all now out on their own.  I decided to offer childcare because I truly enjoy children and spending time with them.  I have been caring for children my whole life, but I would say that I have an average of about 5 years of paid experience.  I have cared for children from birth to late teens.  I have cared for children overnight and for the whole weekend and I have cared for more than 5 children at a time.  I prefer to care for just 1 or 2 now because I enjoy the one-on-one interaction and the opportunity to teach and bond with the child.  I love to read to children and I love to hear the older children read to me.  I have many years of helping children with their homework (I just guide them and let them do the work).  I enjoy doing arts & crafts.  I love playing outdoors with them.  I find creative ways to avoid watching tv.  I know that all parents have different levels of tolerance for the tv and other electronics and I can respect that.  You will find that even if they are allowed to watch tv, that they just won't want to with me because they will be having too much fun!  To me there is nothing more wonderful than caring for our future generation.
