Hello! I have enjoyed babysitting, nannying, caregiving, and mothering over the course of most of my life. I began as a teen in my neighborhood and continued caring for children part-time while in college and working other jobs, right up until I had children of my own. My name is Karina I am 22 years old working towards becoming a dental hygienist in the future. I have 2 1/2 years working at a daycare of around 16 kids ages ranging from newborn to 5 years. I was primarily the only employee other than the owner so I had a lot of responsibility and involvement with this specific job. My primary tasks at the daycare included overseeing the youngest ones (newborns to 2 yrs) all throughout the day. A chunk of my time was set out to be with the older kids (2-5 yrs) and introduce them to art and age appropriate education ranging from writing to math. There were many days where I would oversee all of the kids, keeping up with scheduling while stimulating and entertaining them and prioritizing safety. I have also been babysitting a sibling set (5 and 7 yrs) for about a year ranging from a couple hours in the evenings to overnight/multiple day shifts. I have a passion for allowing children to grow in a joyful, interactive, and stimulating safe environment that introduces life skills and tools that can emotionally and physically aid them in the real world. I have a couple college credits in Early Child Education along with being CPR certified and certification for CA Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Providers.
