I’m a certified elementary school teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies and nearly 15 years of experience working with children. My background includes teaching in Paramount Unified, lifeguarding and swim instruction, after-school programs, and supporting students with special needs. I’m trained in First Aid, CPR, and AED, and trained to handle seizures, allergic reactions, diabetes, and other health conditions through my prior work in a school health office. I bring patience, responsibility, and a genuine love for helping children learn and grow in a safe, fun environment. I’m currently available during winter break, evenings, and weekends for child care, tutoring, or homework help.

I have some experience working with babies and 1 year olds up to 3 year olds. I love to play with babies, change them, watch them, and protect them. I have worked at three churches working with babies ages 0-3 and other ages. I can tolerate loud crying, and I can carry them for long periods of time, and sing to them and play with them to keep them calm. I love working with children, and being a support system and guide for them and being an assistance for the parents.

Hi, my name is Tracy, and I have 5+ years of experience working with kids, mostly through babysitting, but also through tutoring, substitute teaching, and leadership roles at a church and a kids summer camp. I have about 27 yrs of experience. I just love, love, love, babies and children, and have worked with all ages, from newborns to teenagers! I have 15 units of Child Development. I have worked at a daycare and for LA and Pasadena Unified School Districts and because of this, I consider myself an infant and toddler teacher because I gained a lot of experience as one. I have a lot of fun and exciting age-appropriate learning activities that the children enjoy! I know and teach some baby signs and Spanish to the children that I work with. I also teach phonics and other pre-reading/reading skills along with sight words, digraphs, and blends. I also teach beginners addition and subtraction in a fun way! Hello! I’m glad to have the opportunity to present myself! I graduated as an early childhood teacher and also experienced teaching and taking care of children and teenagers of all ages. I appreciate being around kids, exchanging experiences and sharing. It’s always fun! For me, being a childcare provider makes me feel like I’m making a difference in the kid’s life, adding to them by giving them attention, showing them they deserve to be loved, respected and taken care of. People often give me compliments on how patient I am with kids, and I always answer with “that’s because I respect the kids’ time”. They have their own time, and why hurry them when they’ll have a whole adult life to do that? I enjoy every single part of being with kids, taking them places, listening to their stories, cooking with them, eating, chatting, doing crafts, reading stories… I feel privileged to have those gifts and to have the opportunity to be in a small part of children’s stories.
