I first started babysitting when I was in my young teens, becoming the go-to person for most of the families within my neighborhood. I went on to nanny for a few different lovely families, teach and run swimming programs for infants and kids of all ages and skills, and spend some of my favorite summers working at an overnight camp on the East Coast. Hi! I have been a caretaker of children since I was 8 years old when I started raising my baby brother, who is now 16. I enjoy working with kids because they bring such interesting opinions and personalities to an otherwise dull world. I was a residential camp counselor for 4 years, including during the pandemic. I have also worked in the classroom as a TA for K-8 students in Los Angeles and as a high school English teacher for freshmen in Washington, DC. I love being a sitter because it is essentially 1-1 camp counseling, which has been my favorite job yet. I have also worked with children with special needs and in a foster home for teens who are pregnant and/or parenting. I am preparing to start a graduate program to earn a Master's in Social Work, so I have flexible hours. In addition to watching your kiddos, I can also cook, clean, and tutor, as well as take care of your fur babies. I foster cats and have two cats and two dogs of my own.
