Ever since age 13 I’ve babysat for several families at a time and also loved it! I think the best part of it all is getting to see these tiny beings change and grow, seeing their personalities come to light. Many might see babysitting as just a necessity for parents to be able to go out and have adult time, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a chance to have fun, to engage a child’s sense of wonder and their sense of self. I like to do activities with them and be outdoors when possible. Hello! I am a 19-year-old student attending Cuesta college and majoring in Early Childhood Education. I had babysat for a child for 2 years from 6 months-2.5 years. I used to work in a special day class with special education children, however, I had to move to SLO and unfortunately leave that position. However, working with special needs children is so rewarding, and has taught me a lot about behavior management and how to properly handle emotions. I believe this is what makes me a special asset to your family- whether or not you have a special needs child. I am willing to help with anything and everything around the house- however, I do only have my driving permit and am saving up to purchase a car, but I will be getting my license very soon.
