Hi my name is Heather. I am a stay at home mom of four kids, a wife of 26 years, and a dog mom to a labradoodle named Tinkerbell. My kids are 19, 17, 14 and 11. Prior to being a mom I loved working at a Child Care center called Sunshine for 6 years and then I worked at a local private school called Legacy Private Academy as a 2nd and 4th grade Assistant Teacher. At both Legacy and Sunshine I learned to get down on a child’s level, using positive reinforcement to mold and shape kids with love and positivity. I am careful to give clear expectations and to anticipate potential behavioral issues and catch them before they start. (An example of this would be giving a five minute warning if our play is coming to an end, to avoid a transition meltdown, when playing playdoh setting expectations before playing as far and how to use the playdoh appropriately etc. I love kids and enjoy playing with them and learning together. I l appreciate going to the park and helping children with their homework, and reading books or playing games. My kids are getting older and I now have time to work again. You name it I have done it all from rocking colicky babies, potty training , to teaching four kids their alphabet, sight words and how to read. I have focused on character development with my kids molding them with self control, honesty, patience, kindness etc. I also model that same character, being someone who shows patience, compassion and being reliable in my life. Hello, I am a mother of three , 24 yr old twin boys and 10 yr old girl. I was a special education paraeducator for l.a.u.s.d for over 20 yrs, and a foster parent for La county for 4 years until covid. I have always surrounded myself with children, many of my outside activities are with my daughter, her friends or cousins. Babysitting was my first job as a young teenager of age 13, I was always the go to and I have yet to meet a child that do not like me 😊 I am thinking of eventually returning to teaching, maybe transfer to one of the many school districts in the Av, however I am undecided as of now. So, until then, I'd like to utilize my many years of experience working with children of all ages but in a less challenging environment outside of the classroom. Hello families! I am a 21 year old college student who is looking for occasional/one-time babysitting! I do work a part time job at the time but only work 3 days a week. Although I am young in age, I have babysat for 4 years. I have learned from my mother-in-law who is a doula/NCS and carry her learning with me! I started off babysitting my families children whenever someone needed a night out and eventually I started to have jobs in babysitting! I worked as an after-school coach and worked with grades 6th-8th, specifically 8th grade for 1 year.
