Hi, My name is Paige Bariteau and I am from Santa Cruz California. I am currently attending Cuesta College majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Early Childhood Development. My mom has taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade my whole life allowing me to help out and work one on one with the kids. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15 years old. I would watch neighborhood kids of all ages while their parents would go out. When I turned 16 I got a job nannying a 2 year old and 4 year old. I would pick them up from school take them to the park then back home for dinner, bath, and bed time. When I was not in school I’d go over in the morning to wake them up, make breakfast and get them ready for the day. I learned a lot of responsibility and management skills while doing this job. When I was 17, I worked for a family after school watching their 9 month old and 2 year old while their parents were at work or out on date nights. Multitasking with two kids is very manageable for me. On top of babysitting, I worked three days a week at a restaurant as a server where I learned how to problem solve and work with others to create an environment where people feel welcomed and accommodated while at our restaurant. While on honor role at my high school I played three Varsity sports, where I learned the importance of being a team player.

I've been babysitting since I was 12 years old and took an 8-hour babysitting course that included CPR training and cooking skills. Since then, I've had vast experience working with children, including: Summer Recreation Leader: At Alameda Recreation and Park Department, I led diverse programs for youth (K-12), designed engaging activities, coordinated various events, and ensured safety during city-wide outings. Art Docent: At Alameda Arts at Maya Lin Elementary School, I created and implemented creative exploration programs, fostering a dynamic environment and providing personalized support to children. Family Childcare Provider: I supervised elementary students, organized engaging activities, offered academic instruction, and maintained a nurturing, safe environment. Elementary and Middle School Tutor: I provided academic support and tailored instruction to help students achieve their educational goals while having fun. I've also taken classes and passed the CSET in preparation for becoming a teacher. I start the Cal Poly MSTEP program this fall!

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to meet you and your kiddos. I’m just graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a degree in Child Development and a Biology Minor. I was a head teacher at Little Sprouts Infant and Toddler Care in California. I also worked as a sports camp coach for ages 6-14. I’ve babysat children as young as 4 weeks old and up to 12 years old. I am an occupational therapy student at Columbia University with dreams of becoming a pediatric OT. I love being a caregiver to children, although this is the first time I am switching careers for it! I am able to play outside, get creative for playtime and problem solving, and I have boundless patience for homework help. I believe in treating children with kindness, even while disciplining them or declining their requests.
