Hello! My name is Britt. 😊 I grew up in WA state near Seattle and came to CA for college. I have 29 years of experience... Ever since age 13 I’ve babysat for several families at a time and also loved it! I think the best part of it all is getting to see these tiny beings change and grow, seeing their personalities come to light. Many might see babysitting as just a necessity for parents to be able to go out and have adult time, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a chance to have fun, to engage a child’s sense of wonder and their sense of self. I like to do activities with them and be outdoors when possible. I’m very respectful of parents’ preferences and like to follow their same rules set for their kids. I know that being a parent can sometimes be challenging... I can be there to help give you a much needed break or to help make daily life a little easier for you. While I have not been blessed to be a mother yet myself, I’ve learned a wide variety of things from each of the families I’ve had the pleasure to know and love. I have experience with autistic, Down syndrome, as well as behaviorally challenged individuals. I can help with homework, house work, transportation, and errands. I having been caring for children for 40 years. I am CPR and first aid certified and worked in pediatrics for 2 years. Children are my passion! I raised my daughter as a single parent. I work full time as a store manager at Goodwill but I miss caring for and playing with the little ones! Multiples are no problem!

I am a registered nurse who has worked in a hospital on a psychiatric unit for the last 20 years. I started on a child/adolescent unit and moved to working with adults when our unit closed. I recently was able to drop my hours to part time and I am looking to find jobs that are less stressful, have better hours and are mostly enjoyable. I am looking to use my skills to continue to care for others in a more relaxed and positive environment.
