Hello! My name is Britt. 😊 I grew up in WA state near Seattle and came to CA for college. I have 29 years of experience... Ever since age 13 I’ve babysat for several families at a time and also loved it! I think the best part of it all is getting to see these tiny beings change and grow, seeing their personalities come to light. Many might see babysitting as just a necessity for parents to be able to go out and have adult time, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a chance to have fun, to engage a child’s sense of wonder and their sense of self. I like to do activities with them and be outdoors when possible. I’m very respectful of parents’ preferences and like to follow their same rules set for their kids. I know that being a parent can sometimes be challenging... I can be there to help give you a much needed break or to help make daily life a little easier for you. While I have not been blessed to be a mother yet myself, I’ve learned a wide variety of things from each of the families I’ve had the pleasure to know and love. I have experience with autistic, Down syndrome, as well as behaviorally challenged individuals. I can help with homework, house work, transportation, and errands. I am a registered nurse who has worked in a hospital on a psychiatric unit for the last 20 years. I started on a child/adolescent unit and moved to working with adults when our unit closed. I recently was able to drop my hours to part time and I am looking to find jobs that are less stressful, have better hours and are mostly enjoyable. I am looking to use my skills to continue to care for others in a more relaxed and positive environment. I enjoy the energy and innocence of children and animals and feel they need a structured environment that is also fun and most importantly safe and positive environment. I am current on my CPR certification and RN license. I have copies of PA Child Welfare and PA State Police clearances that are needed for working at the hospital. I have been working with children for the past 6 years. Most recently, I was a preschool teacher from 2022-2025. During that time, I worked with various age groups and earned my Child Development Associate Accreditation. Additionally,, I taught computer coding for elementary aged students for 2 years and was a nanny for a family with an 8 year old girl. Teaching in schools helped me develop with my skills in early education. I love to have fun and make kids feel comfortable with approaching new skills and situations. Hello, my name is Jack, I have 7ish years of child care experience. I'm located just outside of Cal Poly SLO and I have a clean driving record and a car with a high safety rating. I love to cook, especially for a crowd, and I have some house cleaning experience. I'm more than comfortable with pets as I have a cat at home, even though have a mild cat allergy, though that will not be an issue. I'm fully CPR certified and have basic first aid training. Due to my work, I have plenty of experience helping kids with distance learning, homeschooling, and helping with homework. I have experience working with all age groups.
