Hi, my name is Erica Tutton. I’m a graduate from San Jose State University with a degree in Psychology. I’ve worked at the Boys and Girls Club working their after school and summer program. I have experience teaching curriculum such as education, sports, technology, and art. I have also worked as a behavioral therapist for children with autism, and have been a babysitter/ nanny throughout college. I’ve worked with ages 1-18 through babysitting as well as my professional career. Currently have a full time job as a case manager so only have weekend availability. I’d still love to work with kids and help out families when I can!

We have been beyond blessed having Erica take care of our 19-month-old son for the last 6 weeks. She reads him book after book, she plays with blocks and cars and chases him around until they are both cracking up laughing. She handles his lunch, bath time, and nap time every day (and he is not an easy one to nap for most people). What I was really amazed with was her level of engagement with him. My husband and I work from home and we could hear her talking to him and laughing with him all day. He asks for her and talks about her constantly when she's not here and we were heartbroken when our local daycare had a spot open up for him. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their child.

Hi! My names Josey and I’m a local here in Santa Cruz. I am attending courses at Cabrillo and have received degrees in Early childhood Education, Health Sciences, and Liberal Arts & Sciences with an emphasis in Interdisciplinary Studies, all with honors. I have also been awarded my anti bias certification and my certification for working with diverse families. Currently, I am working on receiving my teaching certification. I did volunteer work with Cowells junior guards as a captain. The captains help the instructors with the junior guards (ages 5-12). Before I was able to work with the children I was certified in CPR and AED. My first job was as a lifeguard at Simpkins Family Swim Center for 2 years. I was certified in lifeguard training, first aid, CPR and AED. I taught swim lessons, all ages but mostly ages 2-8. Toddlers are so much fun! I also did childcare and little guards. Little guards and swim lessons were really fun because I got to know the children. By the end of the sessions, we would be laughing and playing around together. I worked with Head Start as a part time teachers assistant. Prior to being part time, I was working on call. I have had the opportunity to work with children from 6 months - 6 years with Head Start. After leaving Head Start, I worked at Coastal Community Preschool in the toddler classroom. I sometimes return to the school as a sub. I've worked as a nanny and babysitter off and on throughout my life. When I am with the children, they receive my undivided attention. When there is down time, I am more than happy to take care of household chores. I am comfortable working with all ages. This past year I have had the joy of increasing my infant care experience. I was recently re-certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. I have completed my Title 22 requirements for working with children. I completed a background check with Head Start, Cabrillo, and Coastal Communities but it does not show on SitterCity. Please ask to see my credentials! I am happy to provide you with any documentation that you would like. I look forwards to meeting you and your children.

I have been a private career nanny for multiple families (for ages 7 months and up) for over 14 years now, as well as a daycare teacher assistant and an Au Pair. I connect very well with children; I enjoy working with the magical little beings because I’m inspired by their contagiously high-spirits and spontaneous creativity! I offer children an abundance of presence and play. I encourage nature-based exploration, creativity cultivation, and problem-solving. I draw inspiration from elements of alternative education philosophies, but I’m mostly interested in letting the child lead while I provide the appropriate boundaries and guidance. Each child is so unique, and my goal is to facilitate their unfolding. I would be a good fit for your family if you are looking for a responsible nanny with a good heart, an authentic appreciation for kids, and someone who will provide a positive contribution to their development.

Jaynelle has been the nanny of our four children ages 2, 6, 8, & 10 for the past two years. We could not be happier to have found such a caring, responsible, attentive, fun loving person to watch over our children. Our three boys and their younger sister absolutely adore her, as do we. We could not say enough good things about Jaynelle and her quality of care. We will dearly miss having her around as she has been such a positive influence on all of our children. She is genuinely one of the nicest most sincere people you will meet. Unfortunately for us Jaynelle will be relocating to Narragansett. Let our loss be your gain. If you are considering hiring a person for a child care / nanny position Jaynell comes very highly recommend.

I am a 26 year old, soon to be graduating, college student at UCSC, and am looking for babysitting and nannying positions for this Spring, and hopefully into the next year. I am a reliable, experienced, patient, creative, and fun-loving individual who is good at setting boundaries and deeply passionate about working with children. Before going back to school to finish my bachelors in psychology, I worked as a teacher and childcare program worker for four years at Peninsula School in Menlo Park. Besides working as a teacher, and as a school-run childcare specialist, I have also worked as a babysitter since I was 14 years old. As a babysitter I have helped families by providing coverage on date nights, taking kids on outings, doing pick up and drop off at extracurriculars, supporting both structured and independent play, and doing basic cleaning and organizing, as well as cooking nutritious meals. I have also done overnight coverage with families I have worked with. Outside of my past experiences with working with kids, I am a dedicated fourth year Psychology student, and have taken many courses such as Intro to Developmental Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Social Psychology, and Human Development as a Cultural Process. All of these classes have helped me to better understand how to communicate with children, and how to better understand their social-emotional development, needs, and struggles.

Hello! I’m an energetic, nurturing and patient childcare provider with 6+ years of experience. I have experience working with children from the ages of 6 months to 17 years old. I’ve worked at private schools, public schools and as a nanny. I’ve also worked at a behavioral health agency as an ABA therapist where I supported kids with special needs. My specialty is working with children who have developmental disabilities, but I love working with all kids. I’m skilled in meal prep, diaper changes, potty training, sleep strategies and light house keeping. I love leading outdoor actives and creating fun, age-appropriate art projects. I am CPR + First Aid certified. In the care I provide, I encourage independence (when appropriate) and make learning as fun as possible in order to foster skills for self sufficiency.

I truly love caring for kids, it comes naturally to me. I enjoy building relationships with children and creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. Watching kids learn, play, and grow brings me a lot of joy, and I love being someone they can count on. I’m a single mom of three amazing kids (including twins!), and I’ve been caring for children for over a decade. I have experience with all ages, from infants to preteens, and I’m especially comfortable with neurodivergent children and kids with big feelings or unique needs. Alongside raising my own, I’ve cared for other families’ children as well, including other sets of twins. I have hands-on experience with infants, including babywearing, cloth diapering, and baby-led weaning. I’m familiar with the needs of autistic and ADHD children, and I use a gentle, trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming approach. While I’m not currently CPR certified, I do know CPR and am happy to get certified if needed. Feel free to ask for my driving record or a background check. I’m calm under pressure, attentive, and I know how to meet kids where they’re at.
