Hi, I’m Koryn! I’m 23 and currently studying Psychology. I have minors in Communications and Sociology. I plan to attend Graduate School for clinical or developmental psychology. I’m fully vaccinated and certified in adult, child, and infant First Aid, AED, and CPR. Working with kids has been a part of my life for years, and it’s something that truly fills me up. I believe childhood should be full of curiosity, creativity, and connection, so I love planning activities that spark imagination while also holding space for kids to just be themselves. I follow a child-led approach, which for me means tuning in to each little one’s energy, needs, and rhythms, and letting them guide our time together. As a full-time student, I’m available for date nights and occasional sitting. My intention is always to create a safe, nurturing, and uplifting environment where kids feel free to grow, explore, and thrive. I believe kids needs to have opportunities to do fun things in the summer and I will plan day trips and outdoor activities to engage them both physically and mentally. I am also a certified teacher and am willing to negotiate tutoring services during childcare hours. I am an expert in teaching reading and own an all inclusive reading program for all ages that has been proven successful. I am also skilled in teaching elementary math and writing as well as science. Additionally, I have provided both Spanish and guitar lesson for beginners. I have worked in various childcare facilities as well as individual families doing before and after school care in Colorado working with infants through middle school-aged children. I planned daily activities and learning units that were engaging to students even in an after school care program. I also spent 2 years caring for infants at a Montessori center. I am very comfortable with children of all ages. I believe that play is is how children learn and I love providing various play experiences for all ages. In additional to caring for children, I have been teaching elementary school for 10 years. I have taught grades 2-6, and most recently I have become a reading specialist, teaching children who struggle with dyslexia.  Currently, I am a grad student at Denver Seminary finishing up my master's degree in Counseling. I am recently married and look forward to starting a family of my own, but in the mean time, the next best thing is helping other busy parents provide nurturing care for their children.
