I am a licensed teachers assistant for child development for the state of CT. At 10 years old I had to practically raise my brother who is 3 years younger and I realized my profession is with kids of any age group. I worked at baby cottage daycare for 2 years when I was 16. And after I graduated at 17 I worked hard to get my teachers assistant liscense for daycares or schools and now hoping to work toward to becoming a teacher one day.

I was a nanny when I first graduated highschool for about a year and a a half, working with a 3 and 5 year old. I then went to work at Brightpath in Avon, CT. Worked there for about 3 1/2 years. Had amazing relationships with the families and kids. I worked mainly in the one year - two year old range, and would occasionally help with infants. The job was so amazing and rewarding, I still keep in touch with many families and babysit from time to time. I love spending any free time I have with kids, but would really love to become full time again, and help a good family.

I am a mom of 4 amazing grown children and grandmother of 7 awesome grandchildren. I have always loved children and have been watching or taking care of other children for 35 years. It seems that there are always family members or friends whose children I have taken care of. The last babysitting job I got on this site (10 years ago) has come to an end as she is a grown girl at boarding school now. I am currently looking for a part time position. I am especially good with infants and babies. I have taken CPR classes and first aid classes in the past but would take a refresher course if required. I love to read to children, I enjoy sparking the imagination and laughing with them. I also believe that kindness to each other is something we learn and that there is no such thing as too much love. There may be rules to follow but love is always present. I do have references from the families I worked for.
