Mia worked with our family for a little over a month and was consistently helpful, reliable, and attentive to everything we asked of her. Our 8-month-old daughter had only ever been cared for by my husband and me, and was understandably hesitant with someone new. Mia showed incredible patience and persistence, gently building trust and adapting to our baby’s needs with care and sensitivity. We truly appreciated her calm presence and dedication, and would absolutely welcome her back should we need additional support for our baby and/or toddler in the future.

We have absolutely loved having Kai provide care for our 18-month-old daughter. For the first couple of weeks, our little one was really nervous and cried a bit, but Kai was patient, gentle, and understanding. She allowed our daughter to lead the way and to engage at her pace and her comfort level. It didn’t take long for our daughter to warm up and look forward to Kai’s arrival each morning. I really appreciated Kai’s focus on learning as she was always teaching our daughter new things (ex: letters, sounds, basic sign language), keeping her engaged, and spending lots of time exploring outdoors. Kai has super positive energy, is very attentive, and clearly cares deeply about the kids she looks after. The only reason we’re not continuing with Kai is that my role was recently eliminated and so I’ll be at home with our daughter, otherwise, we’d absolutely keep working with her! We highly recommend Kai to any family looking for someone reliable, caring, and trustworthy to provide care for their child/children. Kerisha

I am a junior at the University of Connecticut in the NEAG School of Education program, majoring in comprehensive special education. For the past year, I have worked at the Boys and Girls Club as a youth development professional. While I am on campus, I work with toddlers at the Child Development Laboratories, which is a daycare for parents and guardians who are associated with UConn. I have multiple younger siblings who I have watched over the years, and this first exposed me to working with children. I love working with children because I enjoy being a positive role model to kids. Working with kids also gives me the experience needed for my field of study. Lastly, I am American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certified.

Hello! My name is Lena, and I have experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), working with twins (differentiating factors, special interests, prior to school routine situating, dilemma diffusing, etc), infants (bottle making, distress remediation, soothing, NOT diaper changing), elementary school age children, and children with special needs. Being able to care for children has been an integral part of my undergraduate experience, and has taught me the importance of flexibility, patience, and stability. Some skills that I possess are working with children who have varying mental disabilities, parasympathetic remediation techniques for diffusing incidents, organization, cleaning, cooking, and more! I also currently hold a BLS, CPR, AED and Blood Loss Prevention certification, with First Aid experience as well!

I have experience caring for children of all ages for over 20 years. I am CPR/First aid certified and have a 9 year old daughter. I am patient, creative, attentive, loving, understanding , know how to help kids thrive and love watching children grow! For nearly a year I worked at a daycare and while I took care of children from infancy through 6 years old there, my primary age group was around 2 years old. I gained experience working with twins, needed to be aware of a nut allergy (never needed to act on it thankfully), gained experience with autistic children, and caring for up to 4 toddlers with alone. I have nannied and babysat for many families and treat kids as I would my own. Currently I am watching two boys that I watch 2-3 days a week but am looking for weekend opportunities or date nights to help with extra earnings. Usually, I am available after 4pm weekdays (except Mondays and Wednesdays) and anytime on weekends. Excellent references upon request!

Hi! I’m Siena, a responsible, patient, and energetic college student who genuinely enjoys working with children. I am a current Psychology and Human Development double major, I love babysitting because I enjoy creating a safe and positive environment where kids can have fun, be themselves, and feel comfortable. I have several years of experience caring for children of different ages, including babysitting my younger siblings and other families’ children. My siblings are 12 and 14 years younger than me, so I have experience at every age. I’ve also worked extensively with kids through summer camps and coaching softball, which has taught me how to keep children engaged, handle different personalities, resolve conflicts, and stay patient in challenging situations. I’m comfortable helping with homework, preparing simple meals, playing games, doing arts and crafts, spending time outdoors, and keeping up with bedtime or daily routines. I’m dependable, organized, attentive, and comfortable taking responsibility for multiple children at once. Most importantly, I want parents to feel confident knowing their children are safe, cared for, and having fun while they’re with me!
