When my children were in elementary school I provided before and after school daycare in my home. I ended my daycare when my sons went to high school. I worked at a Post Office for 8 years and as a pharmacy technician for over 10 years. I have 5 grandchildren 7 months, 2, 4,5 and 6 years I am a very active grandmother. I previously worked as a nanny for a family in Marlborough, where I took care of a 2 year old and 5 year. I was with this family for over 3 years. My days with the children were always busy, and extremely fun. I planned activities for each day. We did arts and crafts projects, play board games, took nature walks, played outdoor games, and somedays read books and sing and dance. Many times I drove the children to and from school and to libraries for storytime, I am looking for about 8 hrs a week. Hello! I’m Tessa. I have worked with kids in various settings for about 15 years. I have nannied and babysat, I’ve worked in classrooms, in outdoor education, and was the director of a nature-based afterschool program. In these various settings I have worked with infants through elementary-school-age kids, occasionally with middle schoolers as well. My formal education in child development started in high school through the Child Development Program that led to preschool teacher certification in RI. I earned a dual bachelor’s in psychology and child studies, which involved work in an infant classroom in a daycare setting and led to a teacher certification for infants and toddlers in MA & CT.
