My past experiences include owning/directing a Family Daycare. More recently I have had the great fortune to care for children in the Naples area. I enjoy inspiring creative minds through play, arts and crafts, as well as age appropriate cooking! While I am quite comfortable to work independently, I am also very comfortable with work-at-home/stay-at home parent(s). Know that I am First Aid, CPR and AED certified. My name is Laura Romero, I graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a major in Journalism and Spanish. I've worked with children for more than six years. The ages range between newborns to eight year olds. I have since re-located to Naples, Florida. In New York I worked as a Pre-school teacher and now in Florida I work in Sales. Previously I have volunteered with The Hispanic Brotherhood in Rockville center, where I tutored children, helped with homework in an after school program. I am Fluent in English and Spanish. As a young person in these times I am educated in nutrition, personally I live a gluten, sugar free lifestyle, I am more than willing to implement specific nutrition with children if its a concern for parents. This is all up for discussion with the parents, and it is ultimately their decision. Parents rules are always followed.  Games are a must! With a background in violin, singing, as well as in art,  I've been able to introduce my skills in music and art to children.

I am currently working full time, so am able to assist with occasional date nights, weekends, before school or evening jobs at this time. My undergrad was in education and Spanish. I now live in the North Naples area. I am one of 6 children and I have been a nanny and babysitter for several years. I have held roles from house manager, chauffeur, homework helper, school drop off, etc. I enjoy assisting families down here on vacation or occasional date nights to enjoy their time away and have a great evening, providing updates only if interested! Other experiences include working as a camp counselor, tutor, teaching aide, and teaching lessons. I have experience coming to families' homes or hotel rooms. Hotel jobs require dinner and parking to be provided. I do require a booking confirmation deposit to serve as a cancellation fee if 48 hours cancellation is not provided to respect our time. I have a 4 hour minimum for in season weekdays and a 5 hour minimum for weekends.
