I am a full-time nanny M-F and am looking to do some date night sitting on occasional Fridays and Saturdays for families in Englewood or Venice. I have been caring for children, mainly newborns, infants and toddlers for over 20 years, as a babysitter on nights or weekends, as a care giver in a Church nursery, a nanny during the work week or as a lead teacher in a preschool for 3 years in the infant and toddler rooms. I have been a nanny full-time since 2014. I am a Credentialed Nanny through the International Nanny Association. I earned a Certificate in Infant/Toddler Development, a 2 year program at Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC, as well as having 2 BAs outside of childcare. I am an active, creative and nurturing nanny and sitter. I incorporate lots of reading, crafts, music, outdoor walks, trips to the library, parks, the aquarium, and play dates with other children and nannies when possible. I also use baby sign language until children can speak and express themselves and limit screen time for children depending on their ages. I am First Aid/AED/CPR certified for infants through adults. Hello there! My name is Tyler, and I am excited to serve you and your family! I am a senior year at University of South Florida studying Health Sciences. I have experience working with children in multiple areas. For the past year and a half I've had the honor to support a family with their little boy from 4 months to almost 2 yrs old. I've used my swim instructor background to teach water safety and the foundation of learning to swim with confidence. We also learned over 30 sign language signs together to support his active participation in communication as well as introduced familiarity toward Spanish conversation. In collaboration with their family, I was able to provide a consistency in values and expectations throughout every stage to best support the family they wanted to build. Before nannying for this family, I was a lifeguard for 3 years, where I also taught swim lessons to children ages newborn to 15+ years old. I have practice enforcing discipline in a respectful way and keeping children engaged while learning. Additionally, I have babysat for families with kids between infant and 10 years old. I love being outside with children and encouraging their curiosities. I love providing a safe space for children to explore and test their curiosities without intrusive inturuptions.
