I have extensive experience with a wide range of ages, newborn and up... and absolutely Love what I do! Newborns and infants are given the most detailed care possible. Having attended college as an Early Ed/ Child Development major, I acquired a great deal of knowledge useful in my field as a child care provider. My 'nanny style' is above average in ethics, safety priorities, interaction, and of course FUN! I chose to major in education, because there is nothing more noble or important than guiding children in a positive way. Its by far the most gratifying job Ive ever had. I have VERY high standards, ethics and I do employ discipline though NEVER physical or negative. I would actually consider it 'positive redirection' or correction really. I know a good bit of psychology and it comes in handy when working with kids, but more importantly -I care- and thats what I would want from my sitter. I'm fond of creative activities that incorporate learning. I have given music lessons, with voice instruction and piano. I also like to do a great deal of interactive activities that are NOT T.V. or videogame related, though I do like to play some videogames myself (in moderation). I goto the park with my daughter and bring a bucket of chalk for us. We end up making a huge mural with all the kids-while all the other moms are texting lol. I'm proof that its possible to be responsible, intelligent, able to discipline when necessary, yet able to relate to kids of all ages. I'm punctual, communication oriented, ENERGETIC, very caring, emotionally available, mentally stable and trustworthy. As a mom, I understand how IMPORTANT it is to find quality care for your children. I invest myself and my heart into the kids I work with-infants to teens. They all need and deserve equal amounts of heart from their caregiver. In short, I venture to be the kind of nanny I would want for my child.
