Hello, I have been babysitting since I was in my later teenage years. I was always relied on to watch younger cousins, nieces, and nephews. Eventually my clientele reached beyond family experience. This hobby of mine acted as a catalyst into my career choice as an educator. I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University with a minor in Special Ed. I taught Pre-K and Kindergarten at the Goddard School before acquiring the opportunity to teach abroad for 2.5 years, where I received my Masters in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. This year will be my 9th year teaching, but I've decided to step away from the classroom with the hopes of going back to my beginnings of working with individual children and being able to build real and genuine relationships with the children that I serve and their families alike. I grew up being a caretaker, of children, dogs, and family members. I was a full time caretaker for my nana 5 years ago who suffered from dementia, I had to bathe, dress, and feed her, as well as take her to and from countless appointments. 3 years ago my cousins were misplaced due to horrible circumstances and had to move in with me and my family for about 9 months, after school i would pick up my cousins from school and took care of them until around 8 pm when there mother would be home 5 days a week. Last summer I was a full time caretaker of my niece/goddaughter, she was 13 months when i began taking care of her full time due to unfortunate circumstances my sister was in.

I’ve been watching children of varying ages the last seven years, helped during covid and online learning, transported kids from school to home, helped with basic household cleaning and organizing, meal prepped, got the children ready for school or planned activities, became CPR, first aid and AED certified and spent time at daycares learning the more school age appropriate lessons and how to care for multiple kids at one time.
