I recently relocated to Kihei/Wailea area, Maui, full time last year, (after visiting for over 2 decades & with family on Kaua'i). I have many, MANY years of experience caring for & spending time with children (beginning in my teens, when I was the neighborhood babysitter). I have been a nanny off/on for the past 2 decades for various families, while I was also raising my (now grown) son, so I am also a mom. I prefer to keep kids active and engaged (minimal to no screen time, if possible). I believe in getting kids outside & interacting in nature. I like to encourage making art, creating crafts, playing board games, reading stories, and going on little adventures in town. My experience spans all ages, from newborns to toddlers, school age & teens. In my free time, I am also a plant-based/holistic chef and an organizer. I enjoy learning about Hawaiian tradition & culture, being in or near the ocean, snorkle, SCUBA, yoga, riding my bike, gardening, (growing herbs, veggies & flowers), creating with clay/pottery, reading, world travel. I love being a sitter because I grew up around young kids all my life. I am currently in college as a nursing major in Honolulu. I have experience in healthcare as a caregiver for the older population. Though not paid experience I have a younger sister which I gained experience taking care of her from a baby to now as she’s a first grader. Being involved in community service allowed me to gain experience with a wide range of kid ages such as elementary school kids and even teenagers.I also have CPR, First Aid, and Seizure certification.

I love the natural presence and joy I feel when I’m with children. I enjoy the connection, the playfulness, teaching them new things, and being a positive, grounding role model in their lives.
