I've volunteered in church nurseries and Sunday school classrooms since I was 12 years old, and I still volunteer every Sunday at my family's church. I've also been babysitting professionally since I was around 14 and spent a year working at a before-and-after-school childcare program. I'm certified in CPR, first aid, and EpiPen administration, and I've completed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training through Illinois Central College. Above all, I genuinely love working with children. There's something incredibly rewarding about helping shape young minds and watching children discover the world around them. Being raised in my mother's home daycare, my love for children started young. As I got older, my ability to help her increased. During high school, I took up Child Development classes as well as First Aid and Safety, Culinary, and CNA. From January to July, I was an Assistant Teacher at Little Wings Childcare and Learning Center. I worked in the 2 year old room. Although I testified to the "Terrible-Two's" phase, it didn't overcome me. Growing up with an autistic brother has helped me develop patience and understanding towards those with different abilities.
