My name is Serenity and I am a 22 year old paraprofessional working as a 1:1 aid for an 8 year old student with autism and behavioral challenges in a K-3 classroom with 6 students. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, one of those being my service dog. Please let me know if you would be comfortable/uncomfortable with me bringing my service dog along to babysit :). I am more than happy to accommodate! Outside of my 2 years of paid experience with preschool and elementary aged children, I have babysat children between the ages of 1 and 10 for family members. I have always had a passion for working with children and promise to treat yours as if they were my own! I also do not have my CPR certification, but I have had employer sponsored CPR training. I also have my Crisis Prevention Institute Certification.

For over a decade I have enjoyed loving and caring for children of all ages. Toddlers and infants are my very favorite! I look forward to meeting new little ones and families!

I absolutely adore kids, I want my own when I get married. Kids bring me so much laughter and joy. To me babysitting isn’t just a job, it’s an opportunity to help little kids with whatever they need. I am a senior in high school but I am looking to go into becoming a doctor in a children’s hospital. I have two years of experience of child care. I am very patient, I love to have fun with children and just seeing them smile.

Caring for children has been a meaningful part of my life for years! In high school I worked in a gym daycare (2016-2020) as well as took a childcare course and worked in the schools daycare (2018-2019), we would “work” in the daycare 4 days a week rotating from the infant room, toddlers, and preschool. On the 5th day we would plan our lessons for circle time/educational activities for the kids! In 2020-2021 I was a nanny for a family who had a toddler and two preteens! After school started back up in 2021 I went to a daycare and worked in the pre-k room, occasionally being a float to the twos and the infants! I have experience with all ages of children!

Being raised in my mother's home daycare, my love for children started young. As I got older, my ability to help her increased. During high school, I took up Child Development classes as well as First Aid and Safety, Culinary, and CNA. From January to July, I was an Assistant Teacher at Little Wings Childcare and Learning Center. I worked in the 2 year old room. Although I testified to the "Terrible-Two's" phase, it didn't overcome me. Growing up with an autistic brother has helped me develop patience and understanding towards those with different abilities. I've always been known for how attentive I am towards children from family, friends, and coworkers. I hope to continue to use my abilities to help others.

I have cared for children for over 40 years. I have impeccable references of childcare and reliability. I am current on CPR and First Aid training as well. I have also been a pet owner all my life.
