Hi there , A little bit about myself is that I'm a fun-loving babysitter. My name is Kathia I’m a Dekalb High School graduate looking to further my education with working with children. In high school I participated in my schools childcare “Alphabitty Chidlcare Program” learned many things as well as got certified in many areas .I love interacting with kids and being funny and goofy meanwhile still have them listen and respect me. Coloring, dancing, reading, making crafts It's all very easy for me to connect with kids. Keeping the child's well-being is something I take very seriously. I'm a healthy balance of an easy going/patient attitude, and assertive when needed. I understand the importance of my role, and I'm willing to take on that responsibility with your children,Thank you! CPR certified I have been working in a daycare from February 2023 up until now and I have been a floater helping in all of the classrooms and have 2 school age classrooms with 30 kids from k-5 I would say I am very experienced and I nannied for many families as well as a family of 3 for 2 1/2 years

Being a sitter can make you feel a sense of fulfillment by providing care and support while building a positive relationship with the children and their families. It’s a job where you can be creative, active, and make a meaningful impact on young lives. Growing up as the oldest coming from a big family you take on a lot of responsibilities and skills like communication, patience, understanding of child development stances, adaptability, problem solving, safety awareness, the availability to stay calm under pressure, and being able to foster a child’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth through engaging activities. My name is Carly Burnett and I have been babysitting for around 4 years. I recently finished my freshman year at the University of Illinois where I am majoring in middle grades education. I am home in DeKalb for the summer and searching for a babysitting job. I have multiple siblings with the youngest being 7, so I have been taking care of her since she was born. I have also taken classes where I was able to help in preschool and elementary school settings. I have done short-term and long-term babysitting for all age ranges as well as tutoring for fourth grade and sixth grade. I have always loved working with kids and making connections with the families I babysit for.

Hi! My names Mary, I am a 20 year old graduate who has been babysitting since I was 11. I am a very energetic, happy, and caring caregiver. I have experience with babysitting as well as being a nanny, I can do both. I have one niece and one nephew who I have watched throughout the years, as well as many younger cousins. I am going to community college so I will be available even after summer. I enjoy doing activities with the children as well as taking them places. I can watch the kids either at my house or yours, whichever works better for you. I also have a 3 1/2 nephew that loves to play with other kids if you’re comfortable with him coming with me occasionally or bringing the kids back to my house to play and hang out! I have a pretty flexible schedule, and am always up to help. I do have another nannying job that varies week to week but on days I don’t have them am very happy to help any way I can. I have always loved children and am told I have a special way with them.

Hi- My name is Darion Grant and I'm new. I decided to become a Manny because I love kids and being a part of their development and growth. I don't have any kids of my own but I have been wanting kids for a long time so I could care for and raise a child how I wish I was raised as I wasn't raised by either of my parents and was instead raised by my Great Aunt who is my inspiration. She also didn't have any kids of her own because unfortunately she had a couple of miscarriages but she was everyone's babysitter and she always made me and the other kids feel like she was our other mother. She cooked, cleaned, taught us manners and respect, and she had plenty of toys and games for us to play and she always treated us how she would if we were her kids. So she babysat to fulfill those urges of having kids and everything that comes with it. I am doing this in memory of my Aunt and also because I just really want the fulfillment of caring for children. I know it's a lot of work but simply being a part of children's growth and development I feel like is worth every second. I do have some experience. I had a stepdaughter that I helped take care of for over a year by helping out with the cooking, cleaning, transportation, school work, I would play games with her. I've also babysat a toddler where I would get up every few hours to check on her. I've helped baby sit newborns as well by changing diapers and cleaning up after them. I'm really hoping someone will give me a chance to be a Manny. I would love the experiences of what it's like to be a parent without having kids because unfortunately, it's just not working out for me having my own. So any and all kids that I care for would be treated as if they were my own.
