Hi! I’m Taylor I absolutely love working with kids and creating fun, engaging experiences for them! Over the past few years, I’ve babysat regularly for my neighbors with children ranging from 1 to 8 years old, and I’ve also cared for my younger cousins here and there. I even spent some time working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), which gave me extra tools for supporting kids’ growth and development. I enjoy coming up with creative crafts, games, and activities that keep kids smiling and learning. Whether it’s story time, imaginative play, or just being a reliable and caring presence, I’m always excited to make each day special for the families I work with!

I have been babysitting for 20+ years along with nannying jobs throughout that time. I have always enjoyed playing with and caring for children. I am a mother to my almost 3 year old son, who loves playing with other kids while also having a good understanding of taking turns and using gentle play. I've been a cheerleading and dance coach as well as tumbling instructor for 15 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in dance, and I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with children and adolescents. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois for 5 years in practice. I work part time as a telehealth therapist in the evenings and on Thursdays and Fridays. I have Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays reserved for at-home one on one time with my son, but we are looking for more kids and laughter to fill our home on those days. I like to keep the little ones in my care active and engaged while at the same time respectfully reinforcing guidelines and specific instructions that are set by each family. Some additional information on how I care for babies, toddlers, and children: I am great with finding creative activities to do indoors on rainy days but LOVE outdoor activities for when it is nice outside! We live walking distance from a park and have a secure wagon with seatbelts. I am truly fascinated in the development of children both cognitively and emotionally. I enjoy interacting with them as they learn and experience new things! I can also prepare nutritious meals and snacks in our smoke-free, pet-free home.

I have two teenage children of my own. I have been a babysitter from the young age of about 13. I have babysat all ages from infants through early teens. I also have a substitute teachng license and am available to help with homework and studying.

I also did some short-term nannying for three families during my college years. After college, I taught a 4-year-old preschool class at Kindercare Learning Center, from 2003 to 2005. When my son was born, in May of 2005, I started to nanny full time. Since then, I have worked as a nanny, as a home daycare provider and babysitting, for 19 different families to present day.
