Hello, I'm Ivy! I have been a teacher/Nanny for over 6 years. It has been an amazing opportunity being able to watch children grow teach them everything that they need to know and prepare them for life. On the nanny side of things, I have been blessed to work with wonderful families and honored that I can continue to work with more! I've cared for newborns to preteens. My availability changes depending on the families needs! When I approach any family and entering a new home I love to do a meet & greet day first just so the children can see me and they know who I am before I care for them! Anytime I care for my little ones I love to have an age-appropriate activity. Learning is very important to me and I love to share that knowledge. Hi, I’m Lydia! I’ve always loved being around kids. Growing up in a big family with 18 siblings gave me lots of experience with children of all ages and personalities. Four of my siblings have special needs, and from an early age I helped care for them—whether that meant lending a hand with daily routines, being patient when they needed extra support, or just being a steady friend they could count on. Over the years, I’ve also worked with children on the autism spectrum. In my job with a company that provided support services, I assisted families with potty training, food training, and building language skills. While the company used ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), I personally don’t agree with every method, and those experiences really shaped the way I see caregiving. They taught me not only how to support growth, but also what not to do—helping me focus on raising confident, happy kids by encouraging their strengths and respecting who they are. By the time I was 12, I was already babysitting without adult supervision, and that taught me responsibility and confidence at a young age. I learned how to keep kids entertained, how to create a safe environment, and most importantly, how to be someone they could trust. When I was 16, I even traveled to England to work as a caregiver for a woman with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). That experience expanded my caregiving skills—I helped with laundry, cooking meals, assisting her in the bathroom, giving her showers, and making sure she was comfortable at night. What I enjoy most about working with kids is knowing that every interaction, no matter how small, shapes the way they see the world. Sometimes it’s through teaching, other times it’s just through listening, laughing, or playing alongside them. To me, caregiving isn’t only about keeping children safe and cared for—it’s about giving them kindness, encouragement, and a sense of joy that will stay with them as they grow.
