For starters I have two younger siblings of my own, and being an older sister can really set you up for things like this. I've baby sat for numerous people I know with younger, disabled, mentally challenged and babies. I was a regular sitter for year working with a 2&4 year old. I can work with kids of all ages!! My family has been fostering children since I was in 4th grade, and we've always had small children in the house that I've helped to raise/take care of. Taking after my mom, I LOVE children and have strong maternal instincts! Besides constantly helping out with kids around the house, I also have babysat for several different children in the past, as well as volunteering for Eco Camp two summers ago, where I was in charge of a medium sized group of children aged 5-12. Besides being able to help out a family in need, I'm hoping to earn some money to help out at college during the semester, as well as get quality time with little kids.
