I have raised two children of my own and will soon be adopting my 12-year-old grandson. I spent years taking in children of friends and neighbors to babysit while my own children were in school. Now that my grandchildren are grown, I am looking to fill some of my free time caring for other children. I recently completed a six-week parenting program in preparation to adopt my grandson. Caring for children is the most important job in the world and I am always educating myself on the changes in parenting for a safe and healthy child.

Hello families, North Central College student completing a degree in music education here! I have experience babysitting since my early teens and have been working in a daycare setting the past two and a half years. I have a passion for childcare because there is so much joy that comes out of watching children learn and grow. I can drive and am comfortable providing first aid. I work full time at Manhattan-Elwood public library so I can primarily work babysit Saturdays after 2, Sundays, and Mondays. For the past year I worked at a daycare. I have cared for 4 babies 6 months to a year old. I prepared their breakfast, lunch, & snack. We have music and movement time, reading books, learning colors, numbers and letters. As well as outside activity weather permitting. I love children, they are so full of energy and laughter and genuineness. I love watching them learn and grow.

I grew up taking care of my little sister who is 10 year younger than me. I’ve worked with kids and teens for a few years now while working as a CNA in the PICU. In the past, I’ve babysat my younger cousins and my friend’s siblings, doing over nights, handling the house and pets while the parents are gone. I am trustworthy and a hard worker. I have experience in CPR and first aid training, however i will be renewing in here i a few months.
