I have been working with children professionally as a full time nanny for the past 23 years. I have extensive experience with newborns, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, including experience with twins and in nanny shares. I love to form a bond with the children I work with; I have stayed with most of my nanny families from when their child was a newborn or infant until they began preschool, 2 to 3 years later. I love spending time with kids; they always keep me on my toes! I really enjoy reading books, singing and playing with babies and young children, and taking them out to the park on a nice day. I also incorporate my love of animals and nature in our day, as I love to teach children about the living world around them, and help to bring out their inner scientist. I grew up in the Northern Virginia area just outside of Washington DC; I got my AS at NVCC, before finishing up my BS in Biology at George Mason University. I am the second oldest of 4 and I've watched my little siblings.I cook , do laundry, clean, help them with homework, supervise for the activities they do. I’m a college student finishing up my associates in the arts of teaching and plan on going to a university to get my bachelor’s in teaching next. I have a big family with lots of young cousins and siblings that I have watched over growing up and now I work full time at an early childhood education center as an inclusion teacher, helping little ones learn emotional / self regulation and the world around them!
