Hello everyone, my name is Jamila. I’m a 26 year old Mom of one special boy who has ASD. My personality is very loving, warm and whimsical and I can be a bit of a comedian at times. I have 13 years of paid experience with kids. My grandma has had her home based daycare since I was eight years old, so childcare has always been a part of my life. I find that kids bring about a certain whimsical energy that I love to the job. I am of course first aid and CPR certified. I’ve worked with kids ranging from ages six weeks to 10 years old so I feel that’s what I’m most comfortable with. I’ve been sitting since around age 11. I’ve had a variety of ages in my care, especially good with infants. I am not currently certified in CPR/first aid but have been multiple times before, it has expired. I am raising three great kids, but now they don’t require as much of my attention, as they are between ages 20-12. I received a technical certification in medical assisting, however, chose not to stay in that field. I do not have much experience with special needs. However, my own daughter is autistic so I am familiar to some degree. I feel I have much to offer in the way of helping out another family. I am a responsible, compassionate, and kind.
