Hello my name is Kayla moody. I am a young woman who loves to teach and care for children. In high school I took classes that had to do with early child care education. Following that I started to babysit really with my younger siblings but then branched off to help care for other families. Currently I am an infant teacher but I have a ton of experience with all age groups. My passion over all is to care for others no matter the circumstances.

I’ve been helping care for kids for as long as I can remember! As the oldest of eight siblings, I naturally grew into a caregiving role, along with experience as a part-time nanny and babysitter. I’ve also worked as a teacher’s aide and a children’s swimming instructor, so I’m comfortable keeping kids engaged, safe, and happy. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and hope to become a child therapist. I truly love working with kids and enjoy creating a fun, caring, and positive environment for them!

This past school year I have been working in an elementary school as a paraprofessional. Before that, I was a nanny for almost 10 years to two families(5 years with one, over 4 with the other) I absolutely love children, and do not mind helping with light housework, meal prep, fun games, educational development, and fun outings!

I just finished my first year at Butler University and am studying speech language and hearing sciences. I have 3 years of babysitting experience and have worked will all ages! I love spending time and playing with kids and helping them grow!

I have always had a passion for working with children. It started when I was volunteering at my church, and from there I started volunteering at a pre-school to gain experience! I have 7yrs of paid childcare experience. I am First Aid and CPR certified. I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children. I am highly attentive and prepared, with a strong focus on safety and thoughtful care in all situations. Over the past few years, I have worked a lot with infants and toddlers. A little bit about me: I am a huge Disney lover (always up for a classic Disney movie!) I have 2 mini golden doodles at home who bring me a lot of joy! In the summer, you can find me in our pool! Summer is by far my favorite season! I grew up in a Christian family in Roanoke, IN. I enjoy traveling, city life, and trying different foods. My partner is from India, so he has introduced me to Indian food, which is now a favorite (especially Indian chai!)

Over the last 30 years I have cared for younger siblings, other family's children and my own seven children. My favorite thing about babysitting/caring for children is the ability to lovingly teach and train a child by showing them what is right and wrong and why. Playing, cooking, doing arts/crafts, singing, reading and tickling are all great ways to spend time with a child; which I do regularly.
