I love working with kids because it reminds me of how amazing and exciting the world can be. I started working with kids when I was about 13 years old. I started working with kids of special needs about 4 years ago. I have been working with infants for about 4 years as well and since then I have been working with children of all ages. In my spare time, I like to volunteer with the special needs community along with local events. When I'm not volunteering I enjoy reading and studying. One thing you should know about me is I work well with children that have special needs, and work well with larger groups of children. My skills include patience, enthusiasm, compassion and empathy.

Hi, I’m Makayla! I’m a college student who has been babysitting for over 7 years and have cared for kids of all ages, from infants to school-aged children. Right now, I regularly watch a 10-month-old, so I’m very comfortable with diapers, bottles, nap schedules, and keeping little ones happy and safe. I also love spending time with older kids—whether it’s helping with homework, getting them to and from school, or just making the day fun with games and activities. Families can count on me to be dependable, patient, and positive. I know how important it is to create a safe, caring environment, and I always try to bring a lot of energy and flexibility to the job. My schedule works best in the mornings before 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for school drop-off, or after 1 p.m. on those days for the rest of the day. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I’m available after 11:45 a.m., and on Wednesdays specifically I can stay until 4:30 p.m.

I am currently a junior in college majoring in nursing, planning on being a nurse practitioner. I have 4 years of babysitting/nannying experience with 2 years of that working as an infant/toddler teacher at a child development center. I will make sure your child(ren) feel loved and taken care of by cooking, teaching, driving them, helping clean up, and helping grow their imaginations and love for play. I love to do arts and crafts, read, water play, cooking and baking activities, any sport, and watching movies. I am comfortable and trained on changing diapers, potty training, sleep training and techniques, bottle feeding, and introducing babies to foods.
