I’ve worked in private child care facilities, government child care, private at home, and in private school and public school settings. Since 2019 I have worked many times with children with disabilities also. I am also a state registered nurse assistant. I enjoy caring for others. That’s my legacy. I have been passionate about caring for young ones my entire life. I first began babysitting at 12 years old, and very quickly earned the nickname "The Baby Whisperer". I helped teach the children's Sunday School and worked at a daycare through high school. From 2021 to 2023 I was the lead toddler teacher at a local daycare/preschool here in Lexington. I left teaching to become a nanny and had a wonderful almost 3 years with a local family. I have experience with all ages, including teens, but my expertise is with infants and toddlers. While teaching, I had the opportunity to take classes and learn in-depth about the early stages of human development. I am especially passionate about helping neurodivergent babies and children learn to regulate and feel safe in their own bodies. I am CPR and First Aid certified, I have done sleep training, I have potty trained, and I have experience with many different family styles and dynamics. I am a full-time Caregiver for a Senior Living Facility and I have been working with seniors now for nearly a year. Prior to this, I was a Youth Care Associate for a children’s behavioral facility for nearly a year. This is my “professional” experience. However, I am also a mother to 5 wonderful children. Humbly speaking, my children are well-behaved, walk with hearts of love, and are for the most part-happy and thriving. Prior to our family falling apart, I was a stay at home mother for the better part of 15 years. As scary as it was for me having our lives just crumble right in front of me, everything now on my shoulders, no credit, some work experience but massive gaps in employment history, I had nothing and all efforts seemed hopeless. Though the wait was so intense, I trusted my Heavenly Father and He led me right to my “professional” passion, which is why I work where I do now. I am fulfilled in the work I do. I am a living testimony that you can love your work and not just “have a job”. Bottom line, I walk simply knowing I never need a reason to love or care for anyone, child or adult. I want to add that in the 15 years I was blessed to be a stay at home mother, I made extra money babysitting other families children off and on and therefore have plenty of babysitting experience as well. I am also CPR and FIRST AID certified. I believe cleanliness is next to Godliness. I’m not walking out of your home without making something better. I am very well organized and detail-oriented. I’ve not been diagnosed OCD, but I’ve personally considered the possibility.
