The majority of my education and career has been focused on learning and practicing effective ways of working with children. My first job in high school was being a teaching assistant for religious classes and then working at a daycare. I continued to explore careers with children working as a teaching assistant in public schools and as a tutor while studying in college. I received my master's degree in counseling psychology with a concentration in working with children and families. I was a mental health counselor for about 10 years and enjoyed the work that I did with children. In the last 5 years, I went back to tutoring, babysitting and working with developmentally disabled individuals to help them build social skills, emotion regulation skills and independent living skills. I have found that it is very important to build a trusting relationship with children and always to build off of their strengths. Children and individuals with disability thrive in a positive environment that has both structure and gives them some flexibility to make their own choices and explore their interests.

I currently work as a nanny. I have several years experience as a professional nanny, five years experience as a licensed family daycare provider, and I have been babysitting since I was twelve. I am CPR and First Aid certified.

A little bit about me… Hey there! My name is Aliah, and I grew up in a big family where I've always been surrounded by kids of all ages. During my high school years, I did an internship at a preschool, where I helped the kids with their tasks, joined them for story time, and had a blast creating colorful arts and crafts with them. Then, I got the amazing opportunity to work at Great Wolf Lodge as an entertainer ambassador. I organized dance parties, told bedtime stories, hosted family trivia, played kids' bingo, and did fun arts and crafts like making buttons. I also spent a year babysitting four children, ages 2, 4, 7, and 12. From taking them to the park and treating them to ice cream, to playing board games and having movie nights, it was a joy to be a part of their lives. I'd also pitch in with cooking and house cleaning, and then help the little ones get ready for bed.

I have been actively involved in volunteering for kids for 4 years now. I have helped out with anything from babysitting to running play groups! Getting to work with kids is truly such a blessing and I am so grateful for the many opportunities that I have been given to work with them! I am CPR and First Aid certified and also have lots of experience tutoring and dog, cat, and house sitting. I am patient, responsible, and I love to play games or go outside!

Hello! My name is Alyson and I absolutely love children! I actually have 3 of my own- a 10 year old, 5 year old, and a 2 year old. I have been babysitting/nannying for over 15 years. I started watching my neighbors 5 kids when I was 11. I babysat for many families during my middle school and high school years and then switched to nanny jobs during college.
