Born in Mexico City, grew up in the US.  Lived in CA, FL, ID, MD,ME & MA where I finished College with a double Major in Elementary Education & Psychology, in 1994. I nannied for the same family for 18 yrs.+,  in Reading, MA.  I have always loved kids, enjoy playing & reading with them, but at the same time always keeping in mind that safety comes first! I enjoy giving 110% of my self to my work responsibilities.  I like to organize and help the family in any way that I can.  Now our 15 yr old daughter is in 10th grade, while our 21yr old son is in college.

I love learning and discovering each child's personality, likes, dislikes, interests, curiosity, eventually hobbies and passions. For me it's fun to engage with a child based on those unique qualities. I have extensive experience with infants, even twins, and I'm a former high school/middle school teacher, so I have experience with older kids, too. My education experience has made me especially adept at interesting kids in outdoor and non-screen activities. Both my grad and undergrad degrees were in English, and I've taught English, ESL (English as a Second Language), and Spanish. I enjoy tutoring and am willing to help children with homework if desired. Currently a Special Ed teaching assistant, I do have some experience with children with special needs though am not certified. I am willing to provide care for children with special needs when parents feel I'm a good fit for their child. I am the youngest of seven kids with a mother who also took foster children and ran a home daycare.  I love children and have been around them for my pretty much my entire life.  I began when I was 15 assisting my mother with her home daycare and then went on to become lead teacher at a friend's home daycare.  I left working there only to care for my two sister's children when they decided not to put them into daycare.  I became their stay at home Auntie and took them to the zoo and library play groups and out for lots of other outdoor activities.  I love being an Aunt and arranging many activities for 8 nephews and 2 nieces from Easter Egg Hunts to camping trips.  I have also worked at the St Mary's after school program as an assistant coordinator for two years. I have worked long term with several great families. I was also an overnight newborn care expert until May of 2020 when I adopted my then seven year old daughter. I have worked several preschool positions with Norwood Public schools as well as at St Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Overall, I just love being with children and have found it very rewarding to be able to watch and help them to grow into the amazing individuals they each are.
