Hello my name is Rylee Labonte! I just moved to the North End of Boston this fall. I am hoping to expand my experiences in the childcare field as a full time nanny or baby sitter. I have always had a passion for caring and teaching children, and have been surrounded by a teacher my whole life that I have learned with, my mother. Along with my mother being a teacher/having her own home daycare my boyfriends mother also owns a home daycare so I am constantly around them helping out whenever needed and interacting with the kids. I cared for children ages 3 months- 6 year old. Following that, the past summer I nannied a one year, four y/o, and nine y/o until the end of August when I began to move. I provided full days of care, cooking meals, doing naps, indoor/outdoor play, etc. along with housework. That was a great experience and opened my eyes to wanting to stick to a nanny environment. I have 8 younger siblings and 4 little cousins, I also have 3 dogs and 3 cats, while I have only babysat a few kids who were between 5 and 12, I know how to make the day fun, and I'm good at cooking as a couple past jobs i had, I can help anyway needed but I do not have a car right now and am currently working on getting one. I am a mom of 4 amazing grown children and grandmother of 7 awesome grandchildren. I have always loved children and have been watching or taking care of other children for 35 years. It seems that there are always family members or friends whose children I have taken care of. The last babysitting job I got on this site (10 years ago) has come to an end as she is a grown girl at boarding school now. I am currently looking for a part time position. I am especially good with infants and babies. I have taken CPR classes and first aid classes in the past but would take a refresher course if required. I love to read to children, I enjoy sparking the imagination and laughing with them. I also believe that kindness to each other is something we learn and that there is no such thing as too much love. There may be rules to follow but love is always present. I do have references from the families I worked for. Hello, I am currently working on my last semester of my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a focus in childhood development. I am certified by EEC as an Infant/Toddler and Preschool/Pre-k teacher. I have been working in child care centers for the past 4 years as a a teacher with all ages, behaviorist, care coordinator, and staff trainer. I have experience in age appropriate curriculum planning and I am skilled in implementing creative and interactive activities. Before I began working in childcare centers, I worked as a camp counselor, before and after school leader, and a babysitter. I am also a behavior therapist, so I have experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
