I'm the eldest of four & also the eldest cousin on both maternal and paternal sides of the family; so as you can imagine, l've been providing child care since I turned double digits. I am a doting wife and proud mom of three beautiful & amazing human beings. I know I am biased, but they rock! Of course my children have given me the most experience in childcare, early education, child development and nurturing. They have also brought sports, cheerleading, dancing, acting, singing, and a plethora of other activities into my life and experience wheel-house. Other than caring for my own children and babysitting for family and friends I have done volunteer work for the Life is Good Kids Foundation (formerly Project Joy) festivals and events on numerous occasions, worked with children during my time volunteering at the Elizabeth Stone House (a domestic violence shelter for women & children), have nannied for multiple families, and have also worked in the Early Childhood Education field (at a preschool in Roxbury), in all classroom levels (from infancy (6 weeks) to school age (6y.o)). I love arts & crafts, dancing, the theatrical arts, and not to brag but I am pretty great karaoke performer...Disney songs are always a hit, but I look like silly singing The Little Mermaid songs alone...so, cue the duet with your child(ren)! I love reading, trying new recipes and DIY’s I saw on HGTV (and admittedly sometimes failing lol). I'm a firm believer that the best way for children to learn is through play.
