Hello! I’m Madigan, and I'm a recent graduate from Mount Holyoke College, with a degree in biology and studio art. This summer, I'll be working as an environmental educator at the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown (where I teach kids and families about the marine ecosystems of the Cape!). I held the same position last summer while babysitting and nannying on the side, and it was a wonderful experience. I love sharing ocean facts, leading fun hands-on activities, and helping children explore the natural world around them. I have nine years of hands-on childcare experience and have worked with children of all ages in a variety of settings. My experience includes nannying two toddlers for a summer, leading full-day marine education programs for children ages 8-12, working at an overnight YMCA summer camp with campers ages 7-14, and working as a live-in supervisor for a college-prep summer program for high school students. I also spent three years working with a children’s theater program, where I learned tons of creative games, activities, and ways to keep kids engaged. I am CPR and First Aid certified for both infants and adults. I am confident supervising children of any age, keeping them entertained, and maintaining a clean environment. I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently to ensure your kids are safe, engaged, and having fun! I am a current hardworking college student who has always enjoyed having a childish side. I feel this is why I get along with kids so well, and one of my first jobs was babysitting for multiple families. I had 6 siblings growing up, with me being the middle child, and most of my friends had large families as well, with siblings differing in age. I am very comfortable watching multiple kids at once and taking on most responsibilities within my skill range; other than that, I am more than happy to learn and give it my best shot. I am a 21-year-old law student currently studying at Trinity College Dublin. During the summer, I work at The Squealing Pig in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where I have been employed for the past six years. Having spent most of my childhood summers in Provincetown, I am very familiar with the local community and families. I come from a large family with four siblings, three of whom are younger than me, which has given me extensive experience caring for children from a young age. In addition, I have completed babysitting training through my school and am certified in CPR. I have always enjoyed working with children and have gained experience caring for cousins, family friends, neighbors, and the younger siblings of friends. A few summers ago, I worked with Pre-K through Grade 2 students at Mount Alvernia Academy, where I assisted with activities, learning, and daily supervision.
